What Is A QuickBooks ProAdvisor?

A QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor is a person who has passed rigorous testing by the makers of QuickBooks who hire licensed accountants and accounting educators to write the rigerous curriculum.  It is a certification/testing process that must be repeated every year in order to maintain the Quickbooks certification license.  It costs hundreds of dollars and many hours of study, and is not easy to master. The QuickBooks ProAdvisor program vs. the annual CPE credits/license fee for accountants is like comparing kindergarten to graduate school.

The Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor certification program represents college level study and testing, representing 16  college credits (CPE) which has been designed by National Board of Accounting Competency. It is designed so that a QuickBooks ProAdvisor can design QuickBooks to comply with GAAP standards.

The most important fact about having the QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor designation is that it trains you to know the difference between how a CPA functions in keeping your books, and how QuickBooks goes beyond this to really helping you successfully run your business.

It’s one thing to furnish you with summary numbers…and entirely different thing to furnish you with details that correctly assess what is really going on in your company. It is not until there is a downturn in the economy that most business owners realize how poor their accounting system really is. Poor accounting assessment is the main reason that businesses fail, not lack of money. You cannot assess what you cannot navigate.

Needless to say…most business owners are anything but stupid…but they need a “silent partner” in their bookkeeper. One who is not actually involved in their business…. but one who quietly delivers the correct assessment of business operations so that your business goals can be realized, and the company can stay on track.

A QuickBooks ProAdvisor is very different from a CPA. We have a very different approach in how we set up, train, and manage your books. There are literally hundreds of thousands of CPAs in the world and few QuickBooks ProAdvisor in comparison.

A CPA’s classical accounting education is very different from the type of work performed a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.. We have first hand experience is observing how CPA work in QuickBooks and are generally called in to straighten out the mess. Businesses fail under summary accounting and thrive under detailed accounting assessment.  Summary accounting works great for tax returns and poorly for getting tax deductions.

QuickBooks is designed to help you successfully run your business and most CPAs are geared toward the summary reporting that  the IRS wants.

At Archer Quickbooks Solutions we leave the tax/accounting issues, tax returns, and summarization of data to your qualified CPA. There are millions of CPAs to help you with accounting work. We specialize in QuickBooks, not common accounting work.

Our job is to help you succeed in business by putting forth the effort to understand how you operate your business and deliver the financial details and analysis that empower you to shift gears and increase your bottom-line. YOU CANNOT ASSESS WHAT YOU CANNOT MEASURE.

The world is now a very competitive, global marketplace and more is required than mere summary reports.

When you try to rely upon a CPA’s summary reports you are essentially flying blind in your business, and it can be too late to pull up.

Most CPAs send you a bookkeeper that is not a Certified ProAdvisor and then bill you at high CPA rates for that non-ProAdvisor bookkeeper.  The QuickBooks expert that the CPA sends you has no Quickbooks license and no training. When you, the owner realize that you don't understand your business financials you are charged more money from the CPA to "interpret" the mess his/her incompetent bookkeeper created. It is at this point that you need to hire an attorney and sue for accounting malpractice. This fraudulent practice must stop because businesses are being damaged with no oversight from State regulators. Under law, the CPA is responsible for the people they send you and to supervise those people.  You should sue for damages when you hire a "Quickbooks trained" person and receive little training and messed up financial records which can lead to business bankruptcy.

PLEASE WRITE TO US IF YOU WANT A LIST OF BUSINESS OWNERS WHO ARE SUING CPAS FOR FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION AND DAMAGES RESULTING FROM MISREPRESENTATION IN QUICKBOOKS.

STATE REGULATORS DO NOT SUPERVISE THIS AREA AND THERE IS NO REMEDY BUT LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE CPA FIRMS WHO COMMIT THESE CRIMES. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO MAKE AN EXAMPLE OUT OF ANY CPA THAT TOOK YOUR MONEY AND MESSED UP YOUR FINANCIAL RECORDS WHICH ARE CRITICAL IN RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS.  PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL IF YOU NEED A REFERRAL TO AN ATTORNEY TO SUE THE CPA THAT HAS DAMAGED YOUR BUSINESS OPERATIONS.

We can also connect you with reputable CPAs that can handle your accounting needs.

You will see the undeniable difference…

Not only in lower cost,

But also in performance….
